Processing and Edgeworked Glass- Meeting your Aesthetic Needs
Features
Functionality
Edgeworking removes any uneven appearance on the edge of the glass after it has been cut. The edges of the glass must always be processed before tempering.
Appearance and Design
Edgework glass enhances the appearance of the glass, i.e., high quality edgeworking for tables, counter tops or shelves. It enriches and customizes products by sandblasting a pattern or logo onto doors and partitions, engraving mirrors, and cutting complex shapes into tabletops.
Standard Edgework
1. Arris
2. Ground edge
3. Smooth ground edge
4. Polished edge
5. Bevel
Application
Standard edgework glass is used for any type of application, in particular tempered glass products (structural glass, doors, shower screens, balcony partitions, furniture, etc.) Decorative edgework glass is used for glazed partitions, shower or bath screens, furniture (office furniture, tables, counter tops, shelves), signage, etc.
Decorative Edgework
Particularly effective on clear or translucent glass and mirrors, decorative edgework helps to highlight the decorative features of the glass and emphasize the contours, especially when thick glass is used.
Decorative Edgework includes
1. Rounded joint (matt or brilliant finish)
2. Bevel
3. Double bevel
4. Double-edge bevel
5. Triple-pencil
6. Ogee edge
7. Nipped edge (the edge of the glass is deliberately chipped)
As a professional edgework glass manufacturer based in China, we offer a great variety of products such as clear float glass, tinted pattern glass, silver mirror, tinted float glass, obscure glass, etc.
